Obituary: Funeral services for Emma Eddlee Wead, 96, of Leesville will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 2 pm at the Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in the Burr Ferry Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the church. Emma, the daughter of John and Easter Brack Brown, was born on September 12, 1921, in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. She passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Leesville, Louisiana. She was a longtime member of the Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church. She loved cooking, gardening and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph L. Wead, grandson, Michael Goodlow. She is survived by children; Edda (L.A) Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, LA., Ralph I. (Connie) Wead of Dripping Springs, TX., Raymond (Terry) Wead of Arizona City, AZ., Evelyn (James) Herrington of Burr Ferry, LA., Merrilyn (Gary) Goodlow of Burr Ferry, LA., sister; Pat Baker of Cabot, AR., 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
