Obituary: Mary Hudgens Hoffpauir, 75, of Pottsville, AR formally of Alexandria, LA died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. She was born July 24, 1939 in San Antonio, TX to Col. Cedric E. and Mary Ruth Hudgens. She graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana with a BA in Sociology, Psychology, and Education. She worked for the State of Louisiana, Department of Health: handicapped children until retirement. She enjoyed traveling the USA, sightseeing, camping with friends, attending Samborees and The Rallys, reading, and life. Mary was a lifetime member of Good Sam Club where she and her husband chartered Cenla Road Runner Chapter, Alexandria, LA and River Valley Sams Chapter, Russellville, AR. They served on the Louisiana State Staff for 20 years including Louisiana State Directors of Good Sam from 2001-2004. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jess Hoffpauir, daughter, Debbie Hudson (Reece) of Dover, AR; son, Jesse Hoffpauir, III of Yukon, OK, grand daughters, April and Danielle Hudson of Dover, AR, and Lexie Hoffpauir of Atlanta, GA, brothers Cedric Hudgens of Morgan City, LA and Britt Menefee of Homer, LA.
