CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 7, 2003, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Neil Alexander Fruge, 27, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at his residence in San Francisco, Calif. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. Burial will be in the old Crowley Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Philip and Kay Hoffpauer Fruge, of Crowley; two sisters, Leah Fruge, of Lafayette, and Charlotte Fruge, of Baton Rouge; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Hoffpauer, of Crowley; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dan J. (Yvonne) Fruge, of Crowley; and his maternal great-grandmother, Katie DuBus, of Crowley. Neil was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dan J. Fruge. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home. Visitation will be observed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 224 West Fifth St., Crowley, or First United Methodist Church, 321 East Third St., Crowley.
