Obituary: Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Elmer H. “Boo” Sarver, 87, who died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at 10 p.m. in Crowley. Pastor Pam Roy, Pastor of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm and Thursday from 9 am to service time. Burial will be in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery. “Boo” is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Atkinson Sarver of Crowley; two daughters, Cindy Ashby and her husband David, Jr. of Crowley, Dianne Sarver of Crowley; one son, Steve Sarver and his wife Anne of Roanoke; one brother, John Sarver and his wife Bonnie of Rayne; 6 grandchildren, Allison Ashby, Scott Ashby and his wife Jacy, Leah Humble and her husband Chris, Lori Fontenot and husband Josh, Charles Sarver and his wife Lauren and Stephen Sarver; 7 great-grandchildren, Joey Benoit, Sawyer Grace and Elijah Ashby, Tristan Sarver, Talyn and Ty Fontenot, and Olivia Sarver. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hagen and Ruby Faulk Sarver; one sister, Wilma Hoffpauir. The family wishes to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice especially Keisha Adams and Vicki Hearne for their care and support these past two months. A special thank you to his nephew, Darrell “Buddy” Hoffpauir for his daily care and compassion for Uncle “Boo Boo”. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to, Amedisys Hospice, 4021B, Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Suite 101, Lafayette, LA 70503 or Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 2205 Ebenezer Road, Crowley, La 70526. Pallbearers will be Darrell Hoffpauir, Ray Hoffpauir, Charles Sarver, Stephen Sarver, Scott Ashby and Joey Benoit.
