Eli "Rocky" Aldridge, 81, of Vidor died Aug. 25, 2001, at his residence. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Vidor with graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Litchfield, Ky., he lived in Vidor many years, was a retired Mobil Oil Corp. painter foreman and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Aldridge of Vidor; sons, Larry Aldridge of Bellville, Ill., Henry Aldridge of Macon, Ga., and Jerry Aldridge of Louisville, Ky.; daughter, Lois Hoffpauir of Spurger; stepson, Ronald Davis of Liberty; stepdaughter, Rhonda Cash of Lumberton; sister, Sarah Kaufman of Moline, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
