FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Stephen "Steve" Hoffpauir, 45, died Thursday, July 18, 2002, in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born June 7, 1957, in Houston. He was the son of the late Rodney and Eileen Eagan Hoffpauir. He was a broadcast engineer and former employee of KECN-TV of Temple, Texas, for six years. He was active in the Park Neighborhood Association of Fayetteville. His hobbies included Boy Scouts and Ham Radio (KB5WKW). He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Eileen Hoffpauir of Fayetteville; four children, Ben Hoffpauir and Ross Hoffpauir, both of Arlington, Texas, Aaron Sanders of New Orleans, and Dara Sanders of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, David Hoffpauir and his wife, Tanya, of Temple, Texas; one sister, Susan H. Myers and her husband, Donnie, of Estherwood; his maternal grandmother, Mamie Eagan Ray of Houston; one granddaughter, Anna Sanders of Fayetteville, Ark.; one nephew, Mitchell Myers of Estherwood; and two nieces, Lauren Myers of Estherwood and Brooke Hoffpauir of Temple. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ben and Lillian Leger Hoffpauir; his maternal grandfather, Francis Moran Eagan; and step maternal grandfather, Johnny Ray.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002, from St. Margaret Catholic Church in Estherwood. The Rev. David Broussard will officiate. Burial will be in Estherwood Memorial Cemetery under direction of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley. Visitation is 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Saturday. Memorial donations may be made to the Steve Hoffpauir Memorial Fund, c/o The Bank of Fayetteville, P.O. Box 1728, Fayetteville, AR 72702, the family said.
