Obituary: Cecil Darwin Brown, 64, of Beaumont, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Cleveland, Texas. He was born on November 29, 1946, in Graham, Texas, to Margueritte Sick and Joseph B. Brown. Darwin had been a resident of the Beaumont area for the last twenty years and was employed as a Lumber Broker. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea. Darwin enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, was a master at cooking bar-b-que brisket and rib eyes, and will always be remembered as an organized, loving and caring person. Darwin is survived by his wife, Laurie Ann Brown of Beaumont; daughters, Tiffanie Tallman and her husband, Robert of Chandler, Arizona, and Misty Moats and her husband, Randy of Hagerstown, Maryland; stepsons, Justin Duplechan and his wife, Nicole of Port Arthur, and Joey Duplechan of Beaumont; mother, Margueritte Brown of Abilene; brother, Dean Brown and his wife, Linda of Houston; sister, Darlene Johnson of Altus, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph B. Brown. His memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Broussard's, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with Reverend Ralph Martin officiating. There will be an additional memorial service Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Southwest Drive United Methodist Church in Abilene, Texas.
