Josh was a shining light on a hill and an example of faith like a child for us all. In times of both suffering and happiness, he brought joy to all who knew him. He was a good and faithful son, a brother and friend. A graduate of Catholic High School and a student at LSU, he died at 8:28 a.m.Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 19 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at St. Jude Catholic Church, 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment in St. George Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by his mother, Lisa Hoffpauir, and father, Dr. Gregory Hoffpauir; brothers and sisters, John, David, Katherine and Maria Hoffpauir; maternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy DeLoach; paternal grandparents, Dr. C.W. Hoffpauir and Mrs. Ruth Grant; uncles and aunts, Stephen and Jennifer Cole, Kyle and Laura Hoffpauir, Rebecca Hoffpauir and Stephan Hoffpauir; and seven cousins.
