Obituary: Gerald F. Hoffpauir, 51, of Nederland passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Gerald was born on January 22, 1959, in Sacramento, California to Katherine Reese Hoffpauir and J.C. Hoffpauir. He had lived in Nederland for the past ten years and in Port Arthur and Nederland area for all of his life and worked in the maintenance department at Motiva in Port Arthur for many years. Gerald loved to go gambling, he was a very proficient mechanic and was a former scuba diving instructor many years ago. Survivors include his companion and love of his life, Carolyn Kibbe of Nederland; mother, Katherine Reese Hoffpauir of Groves; sister, Paula Hebert of Port Arthur; a niece and nephew; four great nephews and one great niece. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with Rev. John Howell officiating.
