Marie Aline Hoffpauir, 72, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, in a local care center. She was a native of Lake Arthur and had been a resident of Hayes for more than 40 years. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and a member of the Hayes Choir. Aline was a very loving and giving woman who enjoyed cooking -- especially baking bread--- crocheting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Willie Hoffpauir of Hayes; three sons, Willie R. Hoffpauir and wife, Carol, of Friendswood, Texas; Steven Hoffpauir and wife, Collette, of Lake Arthur, and Jared Hoffpauir and wife, Joetta, of Lake Charles; five daughters, Sandra Lognion and husband , Benny, of Holmwood; Katherine Fontenot and husband, Ronnie, of Grand Lake; Peggy Harrington and husband, Blaine, of Holmwood; Susan Granger and husband, Johnny, of Sweetlake and Pam Derouen and husband, Keith, of Holmwood; one brother, Essey Broussard of Tyler, Texas; three sisters, Edwina Leonard of Lake Charles, Norma Hebert of Houston, Texas, and Lonnie Mallette of Hathaway; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, in St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City. The Rev. Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will be in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. today, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. Tuesday.
