Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 11 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Hattie Hoffpauir Sarver, 79, who died November 8, 2004 at Cornerstone Hospital of Houston. Reverend Charles Floyd, pastor of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, will be officiating for the service. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Mrs. Sarver was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Texas City, Texas and LaMarque American Legion Post 8248 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Kay Jeffers and her husband Elmer of LaMarque, Texas and Brenda Floyd and her husband Maurice of Crowley; one son, Billy Sarver and his wife Diana of Baton Rouge; two sisters Katherine Rhames of Sante Fe, Texas and, Geraldine Sarver of Crowley; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sarver is preceded in death by her husband, Delaney Sarver; one daughter, Margaret Lorraine Sarver and her parents, Marion and Ethel Spell Hoffpauir. Visitation may be observed Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of service. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley is in charge of arrangements.
