Burial

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley, La . for Rose M. Broussard, 80, who passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 12:02 P.M. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley. The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7 o’clock in the evening. Visitation will resume at 8:00 A.M. Wednesday morning until time of services. Survivors include six daughters, Renella and husband, Calvin Hargrave of Kaplan, Linda Broussard and George Miller of Morse, Jo Ann LeBlanc and Mary Ann Cormier of Rayne, Dianna and husband, Ricky Hoffpauir of Crowley, Vinessa and husband, John Istre of Morse and Samantha and husband Randal Roy of Lyons Point; two sons, Roger and wife, Marie Broussard of Crowley and Ryan Broussard of California; two sisters, Shirley Harris of Orange, TX. and Bonnie Fergerson of Houston, TX.; two brothers, Ulysse Schexnayder of Houston, TX. and Mickey Cormier of Orange, TX.; twenty three grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Ms. Rose was preceded in death by the father of her children, Steven Broussard; her parents, Walter Schexnayder and Milton and Theresia B. Cormier; two sisters, Mary Grimes and Rosa Hawes and one niece, Carolyn LeJeune. Pallbearers for the services will be her grandsons and great-grandson, Mark Broussard, Dominic Hoffpauir, Travis Hodge, Dylan Istre, Shelby Trahan and Taylor Myers. Honorary Pallbearers for the services will be her great-grandsons, Cody Ray Touchet and Zachary Touchet.
