Burial

Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at First Nazarene Church in Crowley for Lovenia Thibodeaux Hoffpauir, 88, who died December 6, 2013 at American Legion Hospital. Rev. Richard Johnson, pastor of First Nazarene Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. She is survived three daughters, Norma H. Simon of Sulphur, Betty H. Doucet of Iota, and Velma H. LeBlanc and her husband, Allen, Sr. of Estherwood; one son, Herman Hoffpauir and his wife, Juanita of Crowley; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Ms. Hoffpauir is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest B. Hoffpauir; her parents, Amar and Domicile LaVergne Thibodeaux; one grandson, Allen LeBlanc, Jr.; one great-grandson, Cole Simon; four sisters, and four brothers. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of American Legion Hospital, and Jude Sittig and Southwind Nursing Home for care that Ms. Lovenia received during her illness. A special thanks to Rev. Richard Johnson for his compassion and prayers he gave to her and to us as a family.
