Burial
Obituary: Carrollton, Texas --- Buel Bulloch died while resting at home on Thursday, July 17, 2008. She was born May 21, 1914, in Indian Bayou. Buel Eva Hoffpauir grew up and spent most of her life in Lake Charles. The oldest of four children, Buel fought to keep her family together through the Great Depression and other adversity. She worked for Gordon's Drug Store and later for Riff's department store. She married Randy Bulloch in 1937, and he gave her a new home on Bilbo Street as a wedding present. Randy died in 1976 after a long illness. Buel, known to her family as Nana, moved to Carrollton, Texas, in 2000 to live closer to family. Survivors, all in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, are son, Randy L. Bulloch; son, Jerry and Betty Bulloch; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Duncan; grandchildren, Robin and Gary Gilbert, Renee and Scott Davis, Rod and Gina Duncan, Diane and Dan Freemyer and Randy I. Bulloch; and great-grandchildren, Grant Gilbert, Derek Davis, Corey Davis, Brandon Davis, Austin Davis, Zane Freemyer, Alyssa Gilbert, Cole Duncan, Elizabeth Freemyer and Carli Duncan. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, in Sugartown Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
