Burial
Obituary: Shirley Rae Aucoin Rome passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 72, born on Sept. 28, 1935, in Pineville, and lived in Baton Rouge since 1959. A 1956 graduate of the Louisiana School for the Deaf, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Rome; two children, Kathy and Tim; and many other family members and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Leon Aucoin; mother, Lula Brodhead Aucoin; and sister, Peggy Aucoin Smith. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., until religious service.
