Felton Bruce Morgan

LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at a service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for Felton Bruce Morgan, 60, who died peacefully at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at his residence in Youngsville after a short battle with cancer. Interment will be in the Indian Bayou Cemetery. Bishop Joel Broussard, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will conduct the services. A native of Beaumont, Texas and a resident of Youngsville for 22 years, Mr. Morgan enjoyed genealogy and stamp collecting and helped countless individuals research their ancestry. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Morgan worked for many years in the oil and gas industry. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Patricia Tallina Morgan, of Youngsville; two daughters, Vickie Morgan Brignac and her husband, Luke, of Lafayette, and Judie Morgan Korth and her husband, Dewayne, of Colo.; eight grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Poe, of Lumberton, Texas; and one brother, Kenneth Morgan, of Gulfport, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Astor and Neveda Holland Morgan. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday. The family asks that any monetary contributions in Mr. Morgan’s name be made to the Acadian Society for Autistic Citizens (ASAC), 202 Sandalwood, Lafayette, LA 70507.
