Funeral services for Mrs Betty Morgan Coleman, 75, who died at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston Monday were held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Savell here Tuesday afternoon, with internment in the confederate Cemetery, Rev. H. I. Robinson officiating.
Mrs Coleman was the wife of the late Alvin Morgan, in whose honor this town was named, and was a resident of Alvin a number of years. But after her marriage to W. H. Coleman, they moved to Houston where they have made their home the past ten years.
