Obituary:
Horace R. Duplantis, 70, of Abbeville, who died at 6:03 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at Abbeville General Hospital. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville.
The Rev. John Vining of Abbeville Methodist Church, will officiate at the funeral services.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas, Mr. Duplantis was a resident of Abbeville. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. Mr. Duplantis was a retired postal clerk.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Hoffpauir Duplantis of Abbeville; one son, Roland Duplantis of Abbeville; and one sister, Joyce Duplantis Primeaux of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Duplantis, and his mother, Raye Thibodeaux Duplantis.
