Burial

Obituary: Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Assembly of God for Lawrence Morgan, Sr., 66, who died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Ryan Post, Pastor of Northside Assembly of God, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in Indian Bayou Cemetery. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 43 years, Freda Broussard Morgan of Crowley; two daughters, Dawn Matte and husband Glenn of Crowley, Victoria "Tori" Morgan and companion Jerry Anderson, Jr. of Lake Charles; two sons, Lawrence Morgan, Jr. of Crowley, Graison Morgan and wife Edie of Crowley; one sister, Louise Leger and husband Roger of Egan; eleven grandchildren, Trey Campbell, Colby Faulk, Devin Lonson and girlfriend Lorraine Garza, Justin Morgan, Christian Mouton, Jasmine Morgan, Bree Matte, Carson Matte, Gabriel Morgan, Brianna Morgan and Jerry C. Anderson; aunt, Iva Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Heather Rae Morgan; his parents, Oscar and Lillian Daigle Morgan; one sister, Joanne Winnie Morgan; one brother, Lynn Morgan. Pallbearers will be Trey Campbell, Colby Faulk, Devin Lonson, Justin Morgan, Christian Mouton and Mark Leger. Honorary pallbearers will be Carson Matte and Gabriel Morgan. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stephen Cannon, and Dr. Karen Roden, Hospice of Acadiana and especially his nurse, Candice Pommier for their compassionate care and love for Lawrence this past year.
