Obituary: Eula Mae Cooper Hoffpauir, 74, of Westlake died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in a local hospital. Mrs. Hoffpauir was born and raised in Many, LA and has lived over fifty years in Westlake. She enjoyed traveling, camping and especially enjoyed the time she shared with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by many. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of fifty- three years, Harley E. Hoffpauir of Westlake; three children, Connie Thrasher and husband Robert of Moss Bluff, Dale Hoffpauir of Lake Charles and Patti Hoffpauir of Westlake; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kennon and husband Ronald, Tommy Thrasher and Bobby Thrasher; one great- grandchild, Anna Grace Kennon of Moss Bluff; one brother, Dewey Cooper and wife Bonnie and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Annie Cooper; one brother, Charles Cooper and two sisters, Evelyn Shaw and Inez Sibley. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2009 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ron Sherer will officiate. Interment will be in Westlake Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. (from Johnson Funeral Home website)
