BIOGRAPHY: His Sister is Dicy Stevens. Green was probably a son of He nry or pe rhaps of a John Stevens who were living nearby Henry in th e 1830 census of Owen County. Green Stevens is not listed in the 183 0 census of Owen County. Green and his wife named one of their daugh ters Jincy, and William B. and Amy (Halto m) Stevens named a daughte r Jincy E. Stevens in 1844. 1834: Green Stephens and Henry Stephen s (relationship unknown) became residents of Jackson Township, In dian a when they secured land there. Source: Owen County, Indiana, Deeds , Volum e 1, Page 277. 1836: Green Stevens and wife Jincy Stevens sol d land to George W. Helm on 12 March 1836 for $110, NE 1/4 of SE 1/4 o f Section 5 in Township, 1 1N, of Range 4W, 40 acres. Witnesses: Elija h Haltom, Rebecca Haltom (children of William Haltom Sr.) Justice of t he Peace: James W. Haltom. 1836 and 1846: Gr een Stevens sold 120 acre s in Jackson and Jennings Townships. 1852: He sold 98 acres on Augus t 17, 1852.
