Nicholas Fain
(1730 - 1783)
BIOGRAPHY: He was born in Ireland in about 1730. He married Elizabet h Taylor, an English lady, in 1752. In 1753 they migrated to the US a nd located temporar ily in Pennsylvania. Nicholas was noted for his p iety. He, along with three o f his sons, served as one of the "Overmo untain" boys during the Revolutionary W ar. They fought in 1780 at th e Battle of King's Mountain. DAR Number 115745. Later, Nicholas an d Elizabeth moved to Dandridge, Tennessee. Nicholas is buri ed near M illers Creek, Tennessee in an unmarked grave.
