Cause of Death:<CAUS> liver cancer DEATH: Owen County Democrat, No vember 9, 19 16. Mrs. Henry Query was taken to the Raleigh hospital a t Brazil one day last week and there examined. The trouble was cance r of the liver. She is better a t this writing. Obituary: Owen Count y Democrat, January 4, 1917. Emma Jane Querry, wife of Henry E. J. Qu erry, was born in Owen County, Indiana, May 23, 1867, and departed th is life Monday morning at 2 o'clock, December 18, 1916, at the age o f 49 years, six months and 25 days. She was joined in holy matrimon y to Henry Query April 16, 1885, of which union was born two daughter s - Gertie A Lehr and Flona M Bandy, both of whom were continually wit h the husband at her bedside during her last sickness. She was a kin d and loving companion, a lovi ng Mother and a noble hearted Christian . She joined the M. E. Church in her th irteenth year at Williams Cha pel. She lived a constant Christian all through h er life. After he r marriage, she moved to Mt. Pleasant M.E. Church. She was a woman t hat was loved by all her neighbors and always sought to please other s a nd to make all happy that she met. Her noble Christian spirit alwa ys beamed ou t to gladden others. She bore her many months of afflict ion with much patience , begging that her blessed Savior might take he r home to rest. Although she wo uld say she would be sad to leave he r darling companion and dear girls. She wa s the daughter of Mary E. a nd Eli Frazier, who have long preceded her in death. She leaves to m ourn her loss a husband, two daughters, one grandchild, two br others , three half sisters, many other relatives and a host of friends. Th e Co mmunity losses a kind neighbor and the influence of a noble, Chri stian life tha t has gone to Heaven to enjoy all that Heaven is. Fune ral services were conduc ted by Rev. O. F. Kaylor, at the home, and sh e was laid to rest in the family c emetery, at Mt. Pleasant.
