Charles is preceded in death by son, Thomas Lee Briles; and brother, Joseph Briles. He is survived by beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara Briles; son, Markus (Kelly) Briles, grandsons, Charles (Jordan) Briles, Robert, Jonathon, and Christopher Briles; great grandson, Levi Briles; siblings, Jim (Margaret) Briles, Daniel (Daphne) Briles, Joyce (Greg) Fernan, and Bonnie (Rainer) Stegemann; other relatives and friends. Friends may gather Friday, April 6, 4:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 5:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Elder Jackie Smith officiating. Private inurnment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
