Mrs. Iona Elizabeth Conrad, 67 years old, of Wolf Creek Community, Battletown, KY. died 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb 20, 1983 at Highland Baptist Hospital, Louisville, KYShe was born Nov. 2, 1915 in Harrison Co. IN. a daughter of the late Elijah Washington Simon Briles and Mary Elizabeth Kintner Briles.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Horace Benjamin Conrad: 6 children, Mrs. Mary Alice Smith, Wolf Creek, KY, Mrs Glenda Frances Scott, Wolf Creek, Mrs. Janet Gail Morrison, Scottsburg IN, Mr Earl Adams, Middletown Connecticut, Mr William L. Adams, Murfreesboro, TN, Mr. Mark Conrad, Wolf Creek, KY, one son Mr Arthur Conrad, preceded his mother in death on Sept 3, 1982; one sister, Mrs Ida Ann Stewart, Brandenburg, KY; one half-sister, Mrs. Julia Pease, Laconia IN; one brother, Mr. Leo Briles, Route 2, Brandenburg KY. 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Wed, Feb 23, 1983 from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Cantrell and Rev. Stanley Johnson officiating. Burial was in Parr Cemetery directed by Jenkins Funeral Home.
