Elizabeth C. Briles, 74, of 19 Belmont Ave., widow of Charles L. Briles, died at 10 a.m. Monday at her home.
A native of Lee County, she was the daughter of the late William and Nanny Smyth Reffitt. She was a homemaker and attended the Belmont Church of Christ and the Lighthouse Church of God.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Anna and Barry Profitt, Kimberly and William Walker and Patty Briles, all of Winchester; and Linda Creech, Clay City; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James L. and Vicki Briles and Kenneth Briles, Winchester; six grandchildren, Khrista Griffith, Charles Miller, Jessica Profitt, Brittany Profit, Chat Briles and Ashley Bailey; five great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Reffitt and June Reffitt, Winchester; a sister, Betty Gibson, Winchester, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Scobee Funeral Home by Ben Rake. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Barry Profitt, Eric Caudill, William Griffith, Charles Miller, Harold Leach, Bill Leach, Jake Leach and Jeremy Davis.
