Betty Pearl Briles, 74, of Corydon, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Allen Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Potato Run Cemetery near Corydon. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Born June 1, 1944, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Clifford R. and Lavina Curts Schwartz.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse L. Briles; her daughter, Beverly Ann Briles; and her brother, Melvin Schwartz. Survivors include her son, Richard R. Briles of Corydon; her daughter, Angela K. Briles (Ricky Gentry) of New Salisbury, Indiana; her granddaughter, Jessica Wright (Eric) of New Salisbury; her great grandchildren, Madalynn and Mason Wright; and her sisters, Linda Wheeler of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Ruth Woodward (Woody) of Corydon.
