Joyce Scoggin Hill, 83, of Trinity, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Westchester Manor.
Born November 15, 1930 in Spindale, Joyce was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Maude McCurry Scoggin. She was a member of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting and was retired from the City of High Point. On June 27, 1947, she was married to Cecil Hill who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia H. White, and three brothers.
Survivors include her son, Stephen V. Hill and wife, Sylvia, of High Point; four grandchildren, Tina Blackwell and husband, David, Van Hill and wife, Julie, Ryan White and wife, Sabrina, and Kevin White; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting officiated by Rev. Brian Donley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
