Death
TRINITY-Martha Sawyer Hill, 105 formerly of Trinity passed April 26, 2006 at the High Point Regional Hospital. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Apr. 29th in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale; Rev. Kenneth Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Ridge Friends Cemetery. Born November 23, 1900 in Randolph County a daughter to the late Joseph Leander and Cora Jane Skeen Sawyer. On June 26, 1919, she was married to Dalton Lacy Hill who preceded her in death on March 23, 1980. Preceded in death by a daughter Ruth Cora Dowd on January 6, 2000. Survivors include five children: Joseph Lacy Hill and wife Ruby of Greensboro, Herman Henry Hill of Trinity, Lucy Neil Hill Hawkins and husband Oren of Troutman, Opal Martha Hill Helmstetler of Trinity, and Raymond Lee Hill and wife Beulah of Trinity; 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.-CumbyEndnotes
