Individual Details
Minnie Mae Briles
(25 Nov 1901 - 25 Apr 1928)
Published in the 4-26-1928 edition of The Current Local, Van Buren, MO, on the front page.
Daughter of William Robert Briles of North Carolina and Dena Ann Ross of Missouri. Wife of Manley Protsman.
Died of puerperal sepsis with flu, result of a goiter.
Informant was Robert Briles
Death certificate says Van Buren Cemetery, so I'm assuming it's City Cemetery not Masonic.
1920 census shows William R. Briles (b. 1862 in NC) in Oregon county with his wife Delia (b. 1880 MO), and their children: Minnie (b. 1904 MO), Lizzie (b. 1906 MO), and William O. (b. 1908 MO). There is some discrepancy in Minnie's age, but that's not uncommon in records.

Mrs. Manley Protsman passed away at her home in South Van Buren Wednesday, April 24th.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Briles, of Wilderness, Missouri. She was twenty-seven years old, and was married to Manley Protsman about a year ago. She had been suffering from an attack of the "flu", and her condition became serious Sunday, her folks being called to her bedside. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Thursday at 2:00 o'clock, and burial was at the Van Buren cemetery Thursday evening.
