Gerald “Jerry” Alvy Briles, 77, of Brush died Saturday at his home in Brush. Briles was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Lincoln, Neb., to Howard and Hazel Briles. He grew up in Nebraska, where he joined the Army and fought in Korea. Briles lived in Lovelan d where he raised his daughters. He moved to Brush at the age of 76 to enjoy the rest of his days. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Nichole Briles and Lacy Kay Briles, both of Brush; one son, Nathan Thomas Saksek of Brush; his stepson, Jaso n Leon Kopenheffer of Wellington; his sister, Phyllis Michaels of Lincoln, Neb.; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday at the Round Mountain in Loveland.
