Mrs. Earlene Copple Buffington, 90, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, September 06, 2016, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born April 6, 1926, in High Point, Earlene was the daughter of the late Earle and Clara Jane Pierce Copple. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold Buffington, and a brother, Joe R. Copple. She was a member of English Road Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher for the Children’s Class, and was retired from Acme Sample Book.
Survivors include her brother, Ron Copple and wife, Kathy, of Denton; two sisters, Louise Smith, of Archdale, and Margie J. Wolfe and husband Richard, of Trinity; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at English Road Baptist Church in High Point, officiated by Rev. Dr. James A. Summey and Rev. Ron Copple. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
