Ruby Jean Briles (nee Gee), 89 of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Ruby was born on November 11, 1926 in Carrier Mills, IL. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at Olivet Nazarene College, and was a school teacher for 21 years until she retired from Leggit Elementary School in Waterford, MI.
Ruby was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed spending time with family, helping her neighbors, sewing, playing Skip-Bo, and doing crafts.
Ruby is survived by her children Londa Foster (Charles) of Springfield, VA, Brenda Freeman (Daniel) of Toms River, NJ, and Johnny Briles (Joyce) of Parkersburg, WV; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse (2015); her parents Ephraim and Beatrice Gee; her brother Jim Gee (2015); a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home from 11:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, October 15 at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following visitation, at 12:30pm. Burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
