William B. "Bill" Ward

We'd hear that unmistakable growling drawl and know that it was Uncle Bill or "Papa Bill" as he was later known by his grandchildren. Of all his accomplishments, this man's love for the little people in his life will be the thing for which he is most remembered.
He was the son of the late William B. Ward and Millicent Beasley Ward. He was married to the late Ruby Varner and they had two daughters, Millicent and Ruby Jane. He had one brother, the late Maj. Ralph Ward, and a sister (now deceased) Millicent McKeithen Colvin.
Bill was the owner of Ward Realty in Concord, N.C. He was a member of Stokes Lodge #32 AF&AM,and an honorary life member of the Cabarrus County Board of Realtors.
