Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport, for Veronica Weber, 92, who died Monday at Country Manor Health Care Center. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Parish Cemetery, St. Rosa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 tonight and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7 tonight at the church.
Veronica Weber was born in Millwood Township, Stearns County, to Bernard and Anna (Broermann) Kerfeld. She married Peter Weber on June 22, 1926, in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Rosa. They farmed near St. Rosa until 1935, when they moved to a farm near Melrose. They moved to Morris in 1955. Her husband died May 11, 1976. In 1976, she moved to Freeport, where she lived until 1993, when she moved to Country Manor Health Care Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children, Monica VanHeel of Swanville, Evelyn Haselkamp of Sartell, Al of Little Falls, Elmer of Alliance, Ohio, and Irene Goodstein of Inver Grove Heights; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence; one granddaughter; and brothers and sisters, Joseph, Leo, Alois, Mary Boeckermann and Hilda Notch.
