Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church for Evelyn E. 'Evie' Lindmeier, 81, formerly of St. Cloud, who died Saturday at St. John Lutheran Home.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home in Springfield. There will be a St. Anne's CCW rosary at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Springfield.
Evelyn Lindmeier was born in St. Cloud to Joseph and Ida (Gummerum) Primus. She married Lorenzo Lindmeier on June 6, 1939, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Cloud. The couple lived in St. Cloud and moved to Springfield in 1954. She had been a longtime member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and CCW. She also had been a member of a 500 club; member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary; and a member of a bowling league. She had worked at Merv's Bakery, Gun Club, Home Cafe and had cleaned for many people in the community.
Survivors include her husband; daughter and sons, Linda Treml and Gary of North Mankato, Kenneth of Washington, Iowa, Wayne of Lake Crystal, Roger of Avoca, and Dale of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Edward of New Hope, John of Michigan, Sister Ida Marie, OSB, of Stewart, Ellen Voigt, Leona Roden and Anna Proell of St. Cloud, and Alice Hahn of Savage.
She was preceded in death by one grandson; and brothers and sisters, Jerome, Robert, Clarence, Joseph, Charles, Theresia Meier, Frances Smoot and Emily.
