Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville, MN for Rita E. Welle, age 76, who died Monday at the Saint Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Catholic Aid Association and Christian Women will pray a rosary at 7:30 p.m. and Parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Rita was born in St. Cloud, MN to Arthur M. and Elizabeth (Braun) Bidinger. She married Martin Welle on October 24, 1946 in Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Rockville, MN. The couple farmed 3 1/2 miles southeast of Rockville until 1987. Rita loved spending time with her family, bird watching and quilting. She was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Catholic Aid Association and Christian Women.

Survivors include her children, Sharon (Butch) Chrast of Sartell, Sandy (Ralph) Weber of New York Mills, Arthur (Diane) of Holdingford, Sue (Ken) Dockendorf of Waite Park, Gary (Cheri) of Pleasant Lake, Bruce (Cheryl) of Rockville, Jeff (Mary) of Rockville, Brian (Patty) of Wausau, WI, Joseph (Pat) of St. Cloud, Cindy (Steve) Ahmann of Cold Spring, Martin Jr. (Julie) of Richmond, Pam (Steve) Voigt of Luxemburg; 42 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Molitor of Sauk Rapids, Lorraine Molitor of Sauk Rapids, Doreen Moran of Bloomington, Eunice Molitor of Rockville, Betty Gross of Rockville and Rose Achman of Burnsville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin; granddaughter, Amy and great-grandson, Michael.
