Christine S. Ghioto, 94, of St. Simons Island, Ga., and formerly of Jacksonville, FL. died April 10, 2004 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on St. Simons Island.
The daughter of Mary and Adam G. Schiselbauer of St. Joseph's, Florida, she had made her home on St. Simons Island, along with her husband for the past 8 years. She was a devoted mother of six children and a loving wife to her husband, Ralph C. Ghioto, Sr., for 70 years.
Christine is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert D. DeLoach, St. Simons Island and four sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph C. Jr., and Mary Ghioto, Tampa, FL; Robert J. and Diane Ghioto, St. Simons Island; Rodney D. and Lynne Ghioto, Orlando, FL; Reginald B. and Kathryn Ghioto, St. Simons Island; in addition, she is survived by 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Ghioto, Sr.; a son, Richard M. Ghioto (wife Patricia) and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Edo-Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Williams Catholic Church, Tuesday, 10 a.m. with Rev. John A. Kenneally officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
