Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for Gertrude Fussy, 81, who died Monday at St. Otto's Care Center, Little Falls.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Rosary Altar Society will pray at 7 tonight at the church in Bowlus followed by parish prayers at 8.Arrangements were made by Brenny Funeral Home, Holdingford.
Gertrude Fussy was born in Swanville to John and Kathryn (Skroch) Stiller. She worked as a housekeeper in Minneapolis for seven years before she married Leo Fussy on Aug. 19, 1941, in Sobieski. She farmed with her husband in the Bowlus area for 30 years, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Rosary Altar Society.Survivors include her husband; daughters Leonette Welle of St. Cloud, and LaVerne Schiller of Bowlus; sisters, Dorothy Adams of Little Falls, and Eleanor Russell and Marcella Kiley of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Regina Maciej, Pauline Bartkowicz, Angeline Gallus, Bill, Sylvester, Louis, Alvin, Ambrose and George.
