Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich for Marian Dierkhissing who died Saturday, December 9 at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich.
Marian Dierkhissing was born April 30, 1923 in New Munich to Paul and Laura (Stroeing) Pflipsen. Marian graduated from Melrose High School. She married Loren Dierkhissing on August 25, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. The couple moved to Everett, WA and lived there from 1945 to 1999. Marian worked at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA for 28 years. In 1999 the couple moved back to Minnesota and resided in Cold Spring. Marian enjoyed traveling, cooking, and reading. She was a member of St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring and a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich.
Survivors include her husband, Loren Dierkhissing of Cold Spring; brothers, Richard Pflipsen and his wife, Dorothy of Cold Spring and Charles Pflipsen and his wife, Arlene of Melrose; sisters-in-law, Etta Pflipsen of Ramsey and Mary Ann Pflipsen of New Munich; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Allen Pflipsen in 1971 and Donald Pflipsen in 1993.
