ANNA PFLIPSEN DIES AT 83 YEARS

Mrs. Anna Pflipsen, 83, passed away at St. Michael's hospital April 22, after having been bedridden for the past 3-1/2 years. A resident of Sauk Centre for the past 25 years, she had lived with Mr.
and Mrs. John Olson since 1941.

The deceased was born December 11, 1869 to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Poepping of New Munich. She grew to young womanhood in that community. On Nov. 17, 1891 she was married to Nick Pflipsen at New
Munich. Up until Mr. Pflipsen's death in 1915, they lived in Meier Grove, where he operated a blacksmith shop.

Surviving are eight children: Mrs. John (Mary) Olson of Sauk Centre, Math Pflipsenand Joseph of Grand Rapids, Minn; Mrs. Roland (Hilda) Smith and Mrs. W. R. (Ann) Tull of Miami, Fla; Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Barrett of Minneapolis; Mrs. John (Emma) Weisner of Ogalvie, Minn; and Mrs. Henry (Lavina) Dillon of St. Paul. There are also 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Mass was read in Our Lady of Angels church at 9:30 a.m. last Friday by Rev. Father S. A. Renner. Interment was made in Meier Grove cemetary. The Christian Mothers society, Daughters of Isabella, and the Mater Delrosa society attend in a body.

Honorary pall bearers were Mrs. Jake Sieben, Mrs. Stever Schwartzbauer, Mrs. Connie Botz, Mrs. Lawrence Hertzog, Mrs. Oscar Klonne, and Mrs. Henry Borgmann. Active pallbearers were John Klein,
Frank Costello, Joe Santers, Paul Krueger, Roy Barrett, and Herb Tull (sic).

Relatives and friends attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. And Mrs. Herman Denne and Mr. and Mrs. Heinen, Freeport; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Poepping, Mrs. Catherine Vogel, Mrs. Ben Poepping, and Mr. and Mrs. John Vogel of Melrose; Mrs. Mary Welters, Albany; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Doege of Long Prairie; Mrs. Joe LeClair and daughters of St. Cloud; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pflipsen, New Munich; Mrs. F. J. Barrett, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weisner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weisner and children, and Roy Barrett of
Minneapolis; Mrs. John Weisner, Celyilvie (Ogalvie?), Minn.; Mrs. Henry Dillon, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pflipsen and Donald, Grand Rapids; Alvin Mastley and Mrs. Dick Scott, Osseo, Minn. Sons Math and daughters Hilda and Ann were unable to attend the funeral.
