Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church, St. Cloud, for Rosetta Mitzie Marie, Thull, who died on Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital after courageously battling cancer for five years. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17th at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Reverend Tom Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be at Assumption Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Mitzie was born to the late Ben and Loretta (Schreiner) Schwartz in St. Cloud. She grew up in St. Nicholas, attended Country School and worked as a nanny in Sartell. Mitzie married Melvin Thull on April 14, 1964 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church. Mitzie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, taking walks, playing cards, shopping, traveling, reading, cooking and baking.
Mitzie is survived by her husband, Melvin; daughter, Lisa Thull of St. Cloud; son, Michael (Nicole) Thull of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Alaina, Elizabeth, Andrew and Austin; siblings, Clarence (Annella) Schwartz of St. Cloud, Ray (Jean) Schwartz of St. Cloud, Annella (Linus) Thull of Greenwald, MN, Vonnie (Bob) Luken of Yankton, SD, Rosie (Tony) Thull of Meire Grove, Teresa Lutgen of Littleton, CO, Judy (Rich) Chirhart of St. Cloud, Letty Meyer of St. Cloud, Mary (Louie) Bemboom of Lindsay, CA, and Lori Taufen of Oak Park Heights, MN.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Gloria Ann; and brothers, Bud, Ronald, Bernard, Nicholas, and Alvin.
