Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, Meire Grove, for Pauline Meyer, 91, who died Monday at Pine Villa Care Center. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Villa Care Center Chapel, Melrose, and from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Melrose followed by Poor Soul's Society, St. Mary's Society and Holy Rosary Society at 7:30 and parish prayers at 8.
Pauline Meyer was born in Spring Hill Township, Stearns County, to Hubert and Anna (Sand) Welle. She married Joseph W. Meyer on June 21, 1932, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Melrose. The couple farmed south of Meire Grove in Grove Township, Stearns County, for 60 years. She moved to Park View Center, Melrose, in February 1992, and for the past 11/2 years had resided at Pine Villa Care Center. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Society, Poor Soul's Society, Holy Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and Persistent Pals Homemakers Group.
Survivors include her children, Dolores Macey of West Union, LuVerne of Sauk Centre, Orville of Staples, and Janice Eiden and Marie of Braham; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rose Moening and Alvina Klaphake of Melrose.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 25, 1991; daughter, Viola; one great-grandson; and sister and brothers, Annie Thull, Christopher, Michael, Henry, Alphonse, Peter, William and Hubert.
