Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany for Edwin J. Thull, age 91, of Albany, who died Monday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany. Seven Dolors Parish Prayers will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Albany.
Edwin was born March 8, 1911, in Greenwald to John and Mary (Schwieters) Thull. He married Levina Moening on September 25, 1934, in Melrose. The couple farmed near Greenwald until 1966 when they moved to Paynesville. After moving, Edwin worked part time on turkey farms in the Paynesville area. In 1984, they moved to Albany. Edwin is a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany.
Edwin is survived by his children; LeRoy (Dorothy) Thull of St. Cloud, Melvin (Mitzie) Thull of St. Cloud and Mary Lou (Maurie) Meyer of Big Lake. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Edwin is preceded in death by his wife, Levina in 1992; son, Joseph; granddaughter, Gloria; great-granddaughter, Katelyn; brothers and sisters, Ted, John, Leo, Alphonse, Norbert, Alois, Tony, Gertrude Eichoff, Rose Schaefer, Elizabeth Sand, Katie Sand, Zita Peopping, and half sisters, Angela Stelton and Annie Wensmann.
