A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Mary M. Maus, age 94, of St. Cloud will be at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Mary died on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell, MN. The Rev. Gregory Lieser will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 am on Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Arrangements by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mary was born on Jan. 7, 1912 in Rockville, MN to Gothard and Elizabeth (Jungles) Ahles. She moved to St. Cloud in 1930 where she was self employed as a housekeeper. She married Richard S. Maus on Dec. 30, 1958 in St. Mary's Cathedral. She was a member of St. Peter's parish, St. Margarets/St. Joseph's Society, and the Legion of Mary.
Mary will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who loved gardening, cooking, pets and playing cards. She enjoyed life, her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Earl and his wife Jean and granddaughters Laura and Julia all of Walker, daughter Marlene Maus of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard on Jan. 25, 1989, brothers and sisters: Catherine (Frank) Kremer, Laura (Walter) Rooney, Rose (Al) Peters, Anna (Ray) Peters, Henrietta (Al) Steinhoff, Herman, Andrew, John, Alma (Everett) Klimmek, Harriet (Lawrence) Ruhland, twin brother Val (Betty), and infant sister Olivia.
