Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Marie R. Euteneuer, 82, who died Wednesday at Pine Haven/Pine Villa Care Center. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Marie Euteneuer was born in Albany Township, Stearns County, to Frank and Gertrude (Thull) Eickhoff. She worked several years at St. Cloud Hospital. She married Elmer Euteneuer on Feb. 26, 1946, at Immaculate Conception Church, New Munich. The couple farmed near Bowlus for several years and then farmed near St. Martin until their retirement in 1980. She moved to Melrose in 1980 and has resided at Parkview Manor in Melrose for the last two years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Christian Mothers of St. Martin.
Survivors include her children, Norman and Duane of Albany, Marvin of Lexington, Ky., and Florian of Paynesville; sisters and brothers, Lorraine Hoppe and Melvin of New Munich, Julitta Frericks of Sauk Centre, Raymond and Norbert of Albany, Alois of Anoka, and Regina Meemken of Melrose; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 27, 1995; and sister and brother, Evelyn and Valerian.
