The mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Dolores M. Harren, age 82 of Holdingford, formerly of Upsala will be 10:30 AM Thursday, February 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Upsala. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Dolores died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. There will be a visitation at St. Mary's Church from 4-9:00 PM Wednesday evening, and again after 9:00 AM Thursday morning until the time of service at the church. St. Mary's parish prayers will be at 6:30 PM followed by St. Mary's Christian Mothers at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the church. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.
Dolores was born April 25, 1922 in Krain Township to Ben and Mary (Cremers) Lange. She was a lifetime resident of the St. Francis-Upsala area. She married Raymond Harren on February 23, 1943 in St. Francis. The couple farmed together until his death in 1959. Dolores worked as a cook at the Pine Edge Inn and she also worked as a housekeeper for the priest at St. Mary's in Upsala and the Upsala Senior Center. Dolores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the St. Mary's Christian Mothers, and the St. Mary's Mission Group.
Dolores is survived by her children; LuAnn (Kelly) Baggenstoss, Gaylord; Alcuin Harren, Balsam Lake, WI; Duane (Rosie) Harren, Holdingford; Lordeen (Edward) Sowada, Little Falls; Gary (Mary Ann) Harren, Freeport; Daniel (Susanne) Harren, Melrose, Renee (Allen) Douvier, Freeport, Mary Lee Otten, Centuria, WI and Joan (Allen) Wenning, Holdingford. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Thomas Lange, Upsala, Ralph Lange, Upsala, Arthur Lange, Golden Valley; Evelyn Munson, Bloomington, Evangeline Janey, Little Falls, 32 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 1959, a daughter, Cordelia Harren; her brother, Elmer Lange and 3 grandchildren; Mary Harren, LeeAnn Harren and Dani Lynn Goebel; and her sons-in-law, Charlie Goebel, Pace Kronbeck.
