Imelda OSB Hoffman Sr.

HOFFMAN, SISTER IMELDA, 87, of Holy Name Monastery Saint Leo, died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2005) Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City. She was born in Pittsburgh. She became a Benedictine sister taking her final vows in 1938. She completed her undergraduate work at Mount St. Scholastica College and Barry College (University). She earned a degree in home economics. She taught in various schools in Florida. She settled at Saint Leo and retired there in 1998. She was manager of the food service department for Saint Leo University students and numerous functions.
Survivors include a sister, Imelda Myers, Kirby, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous grand- nieces and nephews including Gerard, Kenneth and Thomas Nathe, all of Saint Josephs, and Sharon Muntz, Clermont. Coleman and Ferguson Funeral Homes, Dade City.
