Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Donald Schreiber, 78, who died Wednesday at his home.Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites conducted by Little Falls American Legion Post 46 and Little Falls VFW Post 1112.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. until time of services Monday at Brenny Funeral Home, West Chapel. Little Falls American Legion Post 46 will have a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Little Falls, followed by parish prayers at 7:30.
Donald Schreiber was born in Little Falls to Julius and Pauline (Zurowski) Schreiber. He was in the U.S. Navy for three years and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for many years with his father in their pool hall in Little Falls. He was a pitcher for a Little Falls baseball team. He married Geneva Fuchs on July 7, 1962, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Little Falls. He was employed by St. Gabriel's Hospital as a store room manager until retiring in 1982. He was a member of American Legion and of VFW Post 1112.
Survivors include his wife; and sisters, Bernadine Motsko of Little Falls, and Joanne Casey of New Hope. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.
