Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, for Barbara M. Harren, 93, formerly of 3219 Third St. N, Waite Park, who died Thursday at St. Cloud Hospital.Burial will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery, Freeport. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Daniel Funeral Home. Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home in St. Cloud followed by Christian Women at 6:30 and parish prayers at 7
.Barbara Harren was born in Freeport to Gothard and Barbara (Rausch) Harren. She moved to the St. Cloud area in 1949. She was a graduate of St. Cloud Teachers College and taught in Stearns County schools and in the Waite Park school system for 23 years. She retired in 1972. She was a volunteer librarian at St. Joseph's Catholic School, Waite Park. She moved to Benedict Village in 1994. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Christian Women, Daughters of Isabella, National Education Association and Minnesota Education Association.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Magdalen, Minnie Linneman, Margaret Hiltner, Sister Alda, OSB, Sister Therese Marie, OSB, Nicholas, Otto, Joseph and Conrad.Memorials are preferred.
